Sandy Gunn, is one of the Festival’s longstanding traditions and a great civic occasion for the city of Perth. Conducted by Lorna McGovern, Perth Youth Orchestra will join the choir and organist of St John’s Kirk to lead the music and raise the roof of this historic building. 11:00 | SUN 24 MAY | ST JOHN’S KIRK FREE ADMISSION Join the choir and organist of St Ninian’s Cathedral for an afternoon of inspirational music. Choral Evensong is a traditional service, sung by the Cathedral choir and consists of readings, psalms, anthem, hymns and prayers. The music is by Sumsion, Stanford and Elgar. Following the Evensong there will be an organ recital by Geoff Bolton, Director of Music, featuring music by Buxtehude, Bach, and Vierne.
